ANNOUNCING AYSO EXTRA
BU10 & GU10 TRYOUTS will be June 11th and 25th 10-2 at CCHS

Culver City AYSO Region 19 is excited to announce the start of a new program for our U10 players.
The Extra program will provide an opportunity for players to participate in a higher level of competitive play
outside of our regular program. The Extra program teams will participate in a separate league play across Los
Angeles Area P and is designed to be a year round program.

How is Extra different from our regular program:
1. Coaches for Extra teams are required to have a higher level of training to participate in the program then a regular season coach and they are dedicated to that program.
2. Extra Players are selected through a try out process that is open to all registered players, but not all players will be selected.
3. Extra Teams will participate in a fall season against other Extra Teams within Area P and travel to the other regions to play their weekly games.
4. Extra Teams can receive separate professional soccer specific training on a regular basis to supplement the training provided by their AYSO Coach.
5. Extra Teams will participate is a separate Area Championship Tournament at the end of the fall season and that Champion may be eligible to participate in a Section 1 Extra Championship Tournament as a path to the State Championship Tournament.
6. Extra Teams may have increased training sessions with a minimum of 2 practices per week.
7. Extra Teams will have two uniforms.
8. In the spring Extra Teams may participate in either a spring season or soccer tournaments as a traditional tournament team and will be self funding as all tournament teams are.

What Extra is not:
1. Extra is not a Club with monthly fees and no guarantee of playing time. Extra will maintain the AYSOPhilosophies of Everyone Plays, Positive Coaching, and Good Sportsmanship. Extra will have an additional cost for those selected to be on an Extra Team. The additional fee is $100 per player.
2. Extra is not All Stars. It is much more requiring a commitment from the player and family to the program for the full year.
3. Extra Teams will not participate in the Area All Star Tournament in December.
4. Extra Players cannot participate in both the Regular Season Play Program and Extra Play. This is a sideby- side program in Region 19.

What extra commitments will the families of players have to make:
1. Families and players will have to sign a contract outlining their responsibilities.
2. Insuring players are at all training sessions and games.
3. Each family will be required to perform a number of volunteer hours within Region 19 to support our regular program.
4. There is an additional registration fee for the Extra Play paid to the region if your child is selected to be on an Extra team.

Tryouts will be June 11th and 25th at Culver City High School.
